Fernsehturm Television Tower

The Berlin Fernsehturm, the television tower, is located in Alexanderplatz. Built between 1969-69 (the photo was taken in 1969) by the DDR / GDR. It is 368 meters high from ground to the top of the antenna and became and remains a symbol of the city. Prior to the fall of Communism, the Fernsehturm was built in order to be seen from a distance beyond the border.
