Wolf Vostell, German conceptual artist, video make

Wolf Vostell, German conceptual artist, video maker and sculptor (1932-1998) but surprisingly poorly known now. This is part of his concreting series, ‘Car in Concrete’ images with thanks to @wolfvostell and Michael de Vos. Vostell’s artistic life started post-war. He was experimental and provocative from the get-go, early on he created the Dé-coll/age movement. Vostell became an important figure in the German art scene. From his 1960s “Happenings” to his creation with fellow artists in the 1970s, of the Fluxus movement, which was inspired by LEF ЛЕФ, the Left Front of the Arts. Fluxus collaborators included the likes of Joseph Beuys, George Brecht, Ugo Carrera, Ay-O, Robert Filliou,John Lennon, George Maciunas and Yoko Ono.
