Still known as ‘The IBM building’ in Downtown

Still known as ‘The IBM building’ in Downtown Pittsburgh, this is a city landmark building designed in 1964 by New Orleans–based architectural firm, Curtis and Davis. Located at 600 Grant Street, today it’s named the United Steelworkers Building for its primary tenants. Noted for its unique diamond grid facade, a welded steel exoskeleton, described as a ‘diagrid’ construction (diagonal grid).
