Robin Hood Gardens Zine by Cafe Royal Books + Robin Hood Gardens Cut out and Make Kit by Zupagrafika

About the zine:

Collectable photographic record of Robin Hood Gardens, the brutalist social housing estate designed by the Smihsons, demolition began in 2017.

Published by small independent publishing house Cafe Royal Books, created by photographer and Fine Art and Illustration Lecturer, Craig Atkinson. His zines are collected by MoMa, The Tate, the British Library, Glasgow School of Art, the Martin Parr Foundation and the V&A to name a few. Craig’s clients include the New York Times, Dazed, Orange, GQ and the Royal Photographic Society.

They are quite simply a brilliant record of architecture, picking up more than simply the bricks, mortar and concrete – they capture the essence of what fascinates about post-war British architecture.

About the Brutal London Robin Hood Gardens Cut-Out and Make kit from Zupagrafika

Build Your Own Brutalist London

Brutal London series (we are delighted to carry the whole series) has been created by Zupagrafika.

Construct ‘some of the most controversial edifices erected in London between the 1960s and 1970s. The collection features brutalist buildings scattered around the districts of Camden, Southwark or Tower Hamlets, from the iconic tower blocks of Balfron Tower, Barbican and Space House, through the housing estates doomed to premature demolition, like Robin Hood Gardens, Aylesbury and Ledbury Estate, to concrete grand designs, such as the National Theatre’.

The Greyscape team loves this series – totally satisfying to make!
