A unique rare item. The simple four-sided brochure contains text and a diagram of the layout of the pavilion. And there lies its fascination, a glimpse of how post-war Japan wanted to be seen by the world. In the section marked ‘Industry’ it notes … a taster for the lucky owner of this gem.

‘Synchro-readers (the book that talks to you) and synchro-sheets which embody the results of an entirely new form of application of the principle of tape recorder are expected to create a violent storm in sound recording industry circles of the world’

On the topic of Life and Future, the brochure notes,

‘We know that the Japanese people of the coming generations are universally expected to create a new civilization through improvement of the fruits of our efforts in the past. New Japan is exposed to the critical eyes of the world. But she stands under the bright sky wrapped in sympathy and understanding of friendly nations’
