Janine Weidel, award-winning documentary photographer visited Greenham Common Women’s Peace camp.

Born in NYC in 1947 she has lived in England since the 1970s. She has been exhibited at The Photographers Gallery and is held in the collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. Her work focuses on resistance, protest and the industrial heartland of England.  Janine has been the subject of a television documentary. Awarded the British Life Photography award 2015, 2016 and 2017 – she has documented industrial and post-industrial England, and carried out an extensive photo project about the Traveller community.

Craig explains ‘My aim is to create a focussed and complete archive of British documentary photography. I publish roughly 70 titles each year with a small edition ‘archive box’ every 100th title. These archive boxes are aimed at major collections, libraries and museums. They help to increase the visibility of the work. This makes the books publicly accessible for as long as possible. Collectors are wide and varied but include, MoMA NY, Harvard University, Oxford University, Cambridge University, The British Library, The Hyman Collection, Martin Parr Foundation, TATE, V&A / National Art Library’.
