Brutalist Coasters

Category:

Set of four 10cm melamine-faced, cork-backed coasters.

Designed by Hannah Dipper (ex RCA ceramicist) and Robin Farquhar, made in Stoke on Trent, England. The four brutalist coasters feature the Barbican, Trellick Tower, Centre Point and Park Hill.

The duo launched their first collection in 2003 and today some of their work is part of the V&A permanent collection. We love their interpretation of the best of British Brutalist architecture.

People Will Always Need Plates explain here their ethos ‘we use high quality, low volume batch production to create witty, thoughtful and stylish products as a direct antithesis to the current proliferation of cheap, throwaway design. In keeping with our credo that good design should be used and enjoyed, treasured and shared, we develop products that, while diverse in style and application, always retain the fundamental values of functionality and beauty.’

Greyscape is delighted to carry coasters, melamine tableware, mugs and patches from People Will Always Need Plates
