That distinctive faceted roof belongs to the Guild That distinctive faceted roof belongs to the Guildhall West Wing, designed by Richard Gilbert Scott and completed in 1975. Standing on the site of Blitz-damaged Victorian civic buildings, it helped reshape Guildhall Yard into the civic square we know today. Scott was the son of Sir Giles Gilbert Scott and the great-grandson of Sir George Gilbert Scott, three generations who left an extraordinary mark on British architecture. Image ©️Greyscape
