German sculptor

1923-1089

Although not trained as an architect he was commissioned to build the Kirche Johannes XXIII Catholic church in Cologne. Named for Pope John XXIII and said to be inspired by the family tree of Isai, father of King David (sometimes known as the Tree of Jesse). Rikus employed the services of Architect Hans Buchmann
